This particular unique cross - shaped “Veil” has been embroidered on carmine velvet of dimensions 48 cm * 48 cm. On the four sides there are two gold – embroidered ears of grain, the stem of which crops up from a base ornamented with wire of silver. Three pearls decorate the four external corners of each base.
In its center, the top of the “Veil”, which covers the chalice, a gold – embroidered Cross of dimensions 12 cm * 12 cm dominates, while its centre is decorated by a pearl.
They were used gold thread, wire of gold and silver, 12 pearls and one bigger.
The contour of the Cross and the “Veil” are embroidered in gold wire, which is intertwined.
For the completion of this unique oeuvre 1,500 hours of work were required and it was completed in July 2003.
