ΠΟΔΕΑ Ι.Μ. ΔΟΧΕΙΑΡΙΟΥ ΑΓΙΟΥ ΟΡΟΥΣ





Η "Ποδέα"¨είναι λειτουργικό άμφιο, προορισμένο να διακοσμεί προσκυνητάρι. Αποτελεί ένα από τα μεγαλύτερα σε σπουδαιότητα και αξία έργα του, καθώς σχεδιάστηκε και φιλοτεχνήθηκε για την θαυματουγό εικόνα της Παναγίας Γοργοϋπηκόου Ι.Μ. Δοχειαρίου Αγίου Όρους.

Το κύριο θέμα της είναι η βελανιδιά που κεντήθηκε πάνω σε ύφασμα βελούδο διαστάσεων 1.30 μ. * 1 μ.

Στο κέντρο της δεσπόζει Σταυρός χρυσοκέντητος βυζαντινής τεχνοτροπίας, ενώ σμάλτο ρωσικής προελεύσεως στο κέντρο του Σταυρού απεικονίζει τους Αρχαγγέλους Μιχαήλ & Γαβριήλ, Προστάτες της Μονής.

Στο επάνω μέρος της Ποδέας έχει κεντηθεί η φράση : "Την πᾶσαν ἐλπίδα μου εἰς Σε ἀνατίθημι, Μῆτερ τοῦ Θεοῦ, φύλαξόν με ὑπό την Σκέπην Σου" .

Αριστερά στη βάση της Ποδέας αναγράφεται : "Είς μνήμην Καθηγουμένου Γρηγορίου" , ενώ στα δεξιά υπάρχει χρυσοκέντητη η υπογραφή του καλλιτέχνη και το έτος ολοκλήρωσής του έργου.

Για την ολοκλήρωση της χειροποίητης χρυσοκέντητης Ποδέας χρησιμοποιήθηκαν σύρμα χρυσού και αργυρού, μαργαριτάρια θαλάσσης.

Το περίγραμμα του Σταυρού και ολόκληρης της "Ποδέας" έγινε από σύρμα χρυσού το οποίο πλέχθηκε.

Το έργο ολοκληρώθηκε το έτος 2019 και απαιτήθηκαν 6.200 ώρες εργασίας.

Παραδόθηκε στο Καθηγούμενο της Ι.Μ. Δοχειαρίου Αρχιμανδρίτη Αμφιλόχιο και τη συνοδεία αυτού.

COVER OF HOLY ICON of Monastery
of Doxiari in mount athos





This cover is a liturgical vestment, that decorates the stand of a holy icon. It is one of the greatest works in importance and value the artist has ever made, as it was designed and created for the miraculous icon of Panagia Gorgoipikoos of the Monastery Docheiariou of Mount Athos.

Its main theme is the oak that was embroidered on a velvet fabric of dimensions 1.30 m. * 1 m. In the center dominates a gold embroidered byzantine Cross, while an enamel made in Russia in the center of the Cross depicts the Archangels Michael & Gabriel, Patrons of the Monastery.

At the top of the cover is embroidered the phrase: "My hope is being upon You, O Mother of God, keep me safe under You". On the downleft of the cover it is written: "In memory of the abbot Gregory", while on its right there is the gold embroidered signature of the artist and the year of completion.

Gold and silver wire, sea pearls were used to complete the handmade gold embroidered cover for the miraculous icon of Panagia Gorgoipikoo. The outline of the Cross and the whole "Podea" was made of gold wire which was braided.

It was completed in 2019 and required 6,200 hours of strenuous work.

It was handed over to the Abbot of Monastery of Docheiariou, Archimandrite Amfilochios and his entourage.
